Released at the end of 1992, Children was Fran Snyder's first professional recording.
After gigging for only one year, he felt it was time to start a recording career.
Without the aid of a producer,
Fran booked studio time, hired and rehearsed musicians, and set to work.
Three months and $5000 later, it was done.

About 1000 cassettes were made
("those CD things will never really catch on"),
and within 18 months they were all sold or given away.
You could say "Children" is now a collectors item.
There are no plans to re-release this album in the near future.
